An extremely rare Victorian silver Card Case of shaped rectangular form with hinged lid, engraved with foliate scroll decoration surrounding a cartouche to the rear engraved with a crest and initials within a garter belt. A large shaped cartouche to the front engraved with a scene depicting Framwellgate Bridge over the river Wear in County Durham with Durham Castle in the background (a previously unrecorded subject).
