A fine and early 19th century patented American sterling silver and enamel novelty double Stamp Case made in the form of an envelope, the front enamelled with a 2 cent postage stamp and a cancellation mark for New York 1891. The reverse with a received mark for 10/06/91. The gilded interior with two compartments and stamped sterling pat June 24 90.
