A Victorian novelty silver Sewing Etui combined with a Vinaigrette to the base, modelled as a Policeman's Bullseye Lantern, the lens with intaglio monogram and three coloured backgrounds (red, green and clear), changed by rotating the top section, the hinged cover opening to reveal silver gilt interior for pin storage and lift-out bobbin, tape measure and needle case.
By Hubert Thornhill, London, 1889, and retailed by same.

In good condition with no damage or repair. The tape measure having lost its end stop and the needles piercing the internal needle case.
