Victorian Novelty Silver Magnum Size Champagne Bottle Telescopic Propelling Pencil
S Mordan & Co 1880
Photo 1 of 12
A rare Victorian novelty silver telescopic Propelling Pencil made in the form of a Champagne Bottle and of a larger than average size (probably to represent a Magnum bottle), with three drawer (rather than the more usual two drawer) telescopic action and attached suspension ring.
The body engraved with a cypher - ""ME"" below a Ducal Coronet.
Probably made by Sampson Mordan, c1880, but stamped with the retailer's mark of Leuchars.
