A rare Victorian novelty silver Propelling Pencil made in the form of a Nail with attached suspension ring, the domed cap engraved 'Kit' and unscrewing to reveal a lead reservoir. Twist mechanism to propel lead.
Stamped: 'THORNHILL' and with diamond registration mark for the 3rd June 1875.
