A nice quality Victorian 10 carat gold Slider Pencil decorated with the 'barley corn and dot' pattern. Screw off end cap for lead reservoir.
Stamped S Mordan & Co along with the distinctive 'Mordan arrow mark', indicating 10 carat gold. This was a marketing feature so that Mordan & Co could set themselves above the competition by claiming in their advertising : ""Mordan Pencils made of superior gold"".
