An extremely rare mid 18th century Battersea enamel on copper Wine Label for LISBON, of eschutcheon form, engraved by Simon Francois Ravenet for the Battersea factory and depicting two cupids standing beside a barrel with a castle in the background. In brightly coloured enamels. c1753 – 1756.
In very good condition with only a few minor chips to the rims and a factory firing fault to the glaze on the reverse.
