An extremely rare William IV silver mounted Aide Memoire with two rectangular silver panels chased and embossed with landscape scenes inside scroll-work borders, one depicting a rare view of Abbotsford House (the home of Sir Walter Scott) from across the river Tweed and the other with the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey between Melrose and Kelso in Scotland. Each panel surmounted by a shaped cartouche, one engraved 'Charles'. The green silk lined interior complete with three pages. A contemporary silver Propelling Pencil held within three leather retaining loops.
