An extremely rare William IV silver mounted Aide Memoire with two rectangular silver panels chased and embossed with landscape scenes inside scroll-work borders, one depicting a rare view of Abbotsford House (the home of Sir Walter Scott) from across the river Tweed and the other with the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey between Melrose and Kelso in Scotland. Each panel surmounted by a shaped cartouche engraved with a crest of a cat. The green silk lined interior complete with three ivory pages. A contemporary silver Propelling Pencil held within two leather retaining loops.
