An extremely rare early 20th century large novelty silver gilt Pin Cushion made in the form of a fish, with original cushions either side of the fishes dorsal fin.

By Sampson Mordan, Chester, c1908.

Also stamped with registered design number: 531003.

This is the largest of the four know sizes of Fish Pin Cushions and is previously unrecorded with the addition of the dorsal fin.

Condition
In good original condition with a small flat spot above one eye and a tiny separation of the seam on the tail. The majority of the original gilding is now lost and some wear to the original cushions. No date letter.
