A very fine and rare George III 18th century silver Wine Label of rounded rectangular form with oval cartouche above supported by two ‘C’ scrolls, the intricately pierced border of hoops and trefoils with bright-cut engraved decoration. Incised for PORT. The cartouche engraved with a crest depicting a gryphons head.
By Susanna Barker, London c1790. Maker’s mark only poorly struck 3 times.
In fine condition with no damage or repair.
