An extremely large and fine quality George IV silver gilt Table Snuff Box with engine turned base and sides with vacant rectangular cartouche. The cast lid chased with a fox hunting scene with hounds in full cry pursuing a fox, a coach and horses in the background, all within a raised reeded border with folaite shells and scrolls at each corner. A raised thumb-piece similarly chased with a hare coursing scene.
Complete with modern fitted leather case.
