A fine and rare George V silver mounted Menu Holder, with oval porcelain plaque painted with two cats. The reverse signed and dated; ""Tabby Jim__Red Jim"" R.Ward-Binks 1916. On domed oval base with 'D' shaped support.

Reuben Ward Binks (1880 – 17 May 1950) was a noted British artist in canine portraiture, Lakeland landscapes and wildlife painting.
Mr. Ward Binks was recognized as the leading artist of his day in canine portraiture, not only in the UK but abroad. He painted dogs for three generations of the British Royal family, and among his patrons were four successive monarchs.
