An unusual George III silver Vinaigrette of flat oval form, the cover with a central oval cartouche engraved with script initials 'RP' surrounded by a wreath of leaves and berries. The base with engraved and prick-dot borders, the silver gilt interior with hinged pierced grille decorated with an oak spray within a hatched border.
Makers mark only:'RS', struck three times to the interior base and twice to the interior lid.
