An extremely fine and rare George III novelty silver gilt Vinaigrette, made in the form of an Acorn with attached suspension ring, the pierced body engraved with wriggle work decoration, the ribbed screw off cover opening to reveal a finely pierced and bright-cut engraved silver gilt grille.

Birmingham, 1802. No makers mark but probably by Cocks & Bettridge or Samuel Pemberton.
