A fine First Period Worcester Teabowl and Saucer, painted in polychrome enamels with the ""Valentine pattern"", depicting two billing doves standing on a quiver of arrows with a leafy tree and a cauldron to the side, all within a puce scroll and diaper border.

Unmarked c1760.

NB. The Valentine pattern was copied fro a Chinese export pattern. The Chinese Service was made for Commodore Anson during his journey around the world in 1743.
