A very fine and rare George III Provincial silver Wine Label of narrow rectangular form with domed surmount and raised eyelets, bright-cut engraved and wriggle work decoration, incised for Rum.
By John Langlands I & John Robertson I, Newcastle c1778 - 1784. (Makers mark only I.L over I.R. 1st Mark entered in 1778 with dots between letters). Probably engraved in the Beilby Bewick Workshop - See Wine Labels, 1730 - 2003 By John Salter, pages 228 - 229.
