Exceptional Large Victorian Novelty Silver Policeman's Lantern Sewing Etui / Vinaigrette

An exceptional large Victorian novelty silver Sewing Etui combined with a Vinaigrette to the base, modelled as a Policeman's Bullseye Lantern, the clear glass lens covering a further hinged compartment, the hinged cover opening to reveal a silver gilt interior for pin storage and containing scissors, thimble, bobbins, tape measure, needle case, two bodkins, a steel stiletto and button hook with screw-on silver handle. The hinged base opening to reveal the Vinaigrette with silver gilt grill and interior. Attached handles and swivel clip.
