An extremely rare pair of 18th century Provincial cast silver miniature Sugar Tongs, the cast and pierced arms with raised hob-nail and feather edge decoration, deep chased decoration to the circular wheel like bowls, the bow with bright-cut engraved decoration.
By Thomas Eustace, Exeter c1775. Maker’s mark and lion passant. See: “Starting to Collect SILVER”, by John Luddington, published by The Antique Collectors’ Club 1997, page 71, where this actual pair of Tongs are illustrated and described.
