Matthew Wilcox & Son, Birmingham 1903
Photo 1 of 10
A rare and unusual Wilcox's Patent silver Sovereign Case of cubed form with attached suspension ring, the sliding lid is held in place by the internal sprung sovereign compartment and a brass token stamped with the Royal Crown and the legend - 'The Kings Sovereign Purse Wilcox's Patent', the reverse with 'The Kings Sovereign Purse as supplied to his Majesty'. The case cleverly dispenses just one coin at a time.
