A fine quality Victorian silver Cigar Case of rounded rectangular form with hinged lid and push button opening mechanism. The body all over engraved with foliate scroll work surrounding a cartouche to the rear engraved with a crest and initials (probably for Taylor of Glenleigh, Nr Hastings, Sussex). The large cartouche to the front superbly engraved with a scene depicting The Crystal Palace in London with a sun burst behind. Made to commemorate the Great Exhibition of 1851.
